so lately I have been finding the community aspects on Facebook more enticing to my online time than LJ, but I realised that it's a much faster, generally more superficial thing and I want to keep writing stuff here too

That was unexpectedly good of her to admit her mistake and offer to make it up to you. Perhaps they're used to their 1:00 appointments having taken the whole afternoon off work and therefore being in no hurry to get their mouths tortured.
