...and I did watch the EV now again after a few years break. I was a bit bored with it since the sucky songs tended to win all the time. But...I was interested.
And I am proud over my history involving childhood in Sweden, and I like the stuff they do. But this year I did for the first time EVER consider their song kinda lame, and even worse then the Finns! Weird. Anyway, I didn't have money to vote for anything, but if I'd had that I'd've voted for Bulgaria. It was amazing. I loved it.

I also disliked Bulgaria this year quite deeply, in that I felt the different styles clashed nastily and just jarred on my ears. Then again, I acknowledge the fact that saying "A Eurovision entry has just jarred me and made me feel uncomfortable" probably makes it a lot more alternative and leftfield than Lordi's effort.
My favourites? France, Sweden, Israel, Andorra and Georgia, really. I'm probably the thousandth person to say this, but the Georgia entry was decidedly Bjork-ish. Albeit Bjork circa 1993.

I can't really remember anymore which my faves were, except for the only two that got full points from me: Bulgaria and Georgia. One friend of mine who has a similar taste in music as me, surprisingly enough thought that Georgia was too mainstream and wondered why I liked it :S But heck. I love Björk, so maybe that explains something.
