Can I just say that this whole series is an absolute delight. True, it can be gory and violent, but you can kind of skip over the descriptions that really bother you. Even if you don't generally like AUs or WIPs, go and read it.

I'm about to hunt this rec down right now! I LOVE AU's and it does meke me curious and a little sad that this may be one that has not been widely read when the quality of the writing is high.
