Two Elementary vids in Festivids this year! Vidders have not been revealed yet:
Electric Feel (Electric Feel by MGMT) for the Joan/Holmes shippers (which I'm not, but I enjoyed the look of it anyway)

and the remarkable Pandora's Aquarium (Pandora's Aquarium by Tori Amos) that knocked me out. Its deft, evocative use of color and effects illuminate the strange situation Joan's found herself inside.

A Sherlock (BBC)/Elementary/Doctor Who crossover of sorts for a "three fandoms walk into a bar" challenge...

Tea and Bitching (688 words) by gardnerhill
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Doctor Who (2005), Sherlock (TV), Elementary (TV)
Rating: Not Rated
Warning: Author Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings
Characters: Sally Donovan, Martha Jones, Joan Watson (Elementary)
Summary:
Some things are universal - like white male privilege.

My take: Especially for those who love Sally, Martha, or Joan, or a combination of all of them, or if you just want to read some women! :) Definitely good if you want a pick-me-up, I think.

* * *

Fanvid: Black Flies by Loki (SecretlyToDream on Youtube)
Verse: Elementary
Song: Ben Howard - Black Flies
Rating: Gen (G), focused mainly on Sherlock and Joan
Summary: (Vidder didn't give one)
Notes: spoilers up to 1x03 (vidder's warning); there is a little bit of blood and stylized crime scenery.

My take: The editing for this is absolutely stunning. I love how they included dialogue from the show in it as well. :)

I enjoyed "Tea and Bitching"! Because no human cultural product is free of biases and prejudice, I'd love to see more fic that calls out the problematic parts of the Holmes verses, whether canon, Elementary, BBC, etc.

A fantastic WIP at the Sherlock kinkmeme:
something must break
four parts so far, Sherlock/John, warnings for dub-con/non-con.

It's a post-Reichenbach fic, and as per the prompt has John taking his anger out on Sherlock through rough sex; and the writing is stark and clean and incredibly heartbreaking.

Gravity (63752 words) by WendyBird
Rating: Explicit
Relationships: Sherlock Holmes/John Watson, Mary Morstan/John Watson
Summary: On the three year anniversary of Sherlock's death, John finds something unusual in his flat. He shouldn't be so thrilled to be finally going mad. But is he? Oh god, yes.

Fantastic post-Reichenbach feelfest. With bonus case.

The Acronym (13985 words) by DancingGrimm
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Relationships: Gen
Summary: "‘Bee Ay Em Eff’. Hm, that's a new one on me. Do you know what it means, Sherlock?" John might not know what it means, but there are many little ways in which he proves the acronym suits him.

Funny and clever, all the various sides of John Watson.
