Great news - emmagrant01 has re-started her WIP Alternate and Missing Scenes from "A Cure for Boredom" The original story has been enthusiastically recommended (by me) before. The follow-up is essentially the same story, but from Sherlock’s POV. Which normally I’d imagine as being tedious, but with this fic it works really well. The latest chapter is smoking hot, and there’s a promise of weekly updates to come.

WIPs:

Wordstrings updated her newest WIP this week. If you have not encountered her exquisite work before, I would suggest you first read her Paradox series, even though it is a different 'verse. Why? You'll know the answer to that before you get to "The Dying of the Bees":

All the Best and Brightest Creatures (10187 words) by

I think this is the only Ritchie-verse fic so far for holmestice:

Spin Glass, author not revealed, Holmes/Watson, mature.

This builds on the opening scene of the first movie, specifically on the moment when Holmes perceives the near-invisible glass needle filled with poison wielded by Blackwood and saves Watson from impaling himself on it. Images of the sinister glass thread are interwoven with Holmes drawing music from his violin, with tempo and timbre repeated in his physical relationship with Watson.

If you like Sherlock/music themed stories, or Ritchie fic, you should give this a read.

This is my favorite post-Reichenbach WIP currently going. I love the spot-on voices of the characters and the beautiful writing. I don't understand why it seems to have been so overlooked!

Recovery Position (35276 words) by Rhyolight
Chapters: 14/?
Fandom: Sherlock (TV), Sherlock Holmes & Related Fandoms
Rating: Not Rated
Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Who the hell knows? No idea.
Characters: John Watson, Greg Lestrade, and others as they appear, Mike Stamford, Martha Hudson, Mr. Crayhill, Mycroft Holmes
Series: Part 4 of Recovery Position
Summary:
How tasteless would it be to talk about 'picking up the pieces'? John Watson and Greg Lestrade following breadcrumbs...
Once you can begin to look hard at a suicide note, it may start to look... different.

Based on near total-immersion in the TheFinalProblem Tumblr (though without her brilliance and no guarantee I am applying her theories correctly and no intention of claiming her involvement).
