not gonna lie, there is major graphic violence in this one. But for me, the storyline was so taut and the characterizations of everyone so perfect that I was willing to stomach the violence. This is a major piece of writing, over 100K of tightly plotted storyline, with a sequel under production. If you can stand whumpage, you won't be disappointed!!

Oh good, I wasn't sure how many people would actually be interested in such an intense story, so I'm glad you enjoyed it. It is seriously one of my all-time favourites!

Just wanted to drop by to thank you for this rec; this was a gem! Difficult to read in places because of the hard-core whump but so tightly executed and with such depth of emotion that I couldn't stop.

I know, right! I'm really glad you gave it a chance, even with all the warnings. I wasn't sure how many people would pass because of that. I felt the need to make sure people knew the character death wasn't Sherlock or John so that they wouldn't be put off. It's too good a story to miss!
