oh lovey, i know precisely what you mean. that is so sweet and endearing and simultaneously super mature and indicative of self-awareness. also, total agreement about south-american bad-assness. honestly latin america is way more pertinent to almost any career in international relations than western europe would be.

AAAAAND in other new of things in this entry with which I identify, lifeguarding as a post-graduate sure tastes like humble pie, but as a means to an end, it's really not the end of the world. it's not as if it will represent your future life in any way.

jess, your responses always cheer me up and make me feel better about life and love. i love you even MORE for referencing 'everything is illumintated'- you're right, lifeguarding with a bachelors is the DEFINITION of eating humble pie but its beter than not doing anything!

totally with you on the interview thing. i don't really want to lie, but at the same time i just want to be like: i'll give you work in exchange for money.
