I personally liked the letter format. Her entries are a nice change from the usual stuff on my friends list, y'know? I always like it when the mundane events of someone's life become absolutely hilarious just because of the way they write about things...

oh yeah, i agree. i love her letters. and i feel like saying somethihg about how i was reading her stuff before it was on livejournal. but instead of making it sound all high and mighty, i'm gonna say this:
I knew the dog before he came to school!
