I don't know what this means. Normally, a two-fer would send the Bush team to the bank, to cash in two conservatives (one wacko, one generously not-quite-so-wacho). Yes. Dad reminds me so much of Scarlet braving hell and heat to journey back to Tara. Except he's taking lots of guns and he doesn't have Mellie and the baby to worry about.
Also, while I totally agree that the gov. response was a bit... what's the word.... fucked up, I also think that there are a lot of fuckers out there who aren't making things any easier. The helicopters had to pause for a night because they were being shot at! Fucking people.

Yeah, what the fuck is happening in our country? People are going starkraving mad because they can't evacuate a city? What's happening to people here? I'm just trying to will everybody back into a more civilized place, and it seems to be failing miserably.

I think a lot of these people were already criminals and this is just how they act when they know they have more power than everyone else.

Yeah... that depresses me. It seems like there are either a lot of criminal-minded people there already, or a lot of normal people who convert to criminals under relatively little pressure. sigh!
