First post. Thought A tutorial Might be nice.

Make this:

(Click for larger image)
Only compatible in Photoshop 7.0 (selective Colouring)
Though you can cut out that step easily.

I Start out with my image cropped from this

Duplicate Base
Desaturate it (shft+ctrl+u)
(Keep it at 'normal')

Duplicate Your Layer twice.
First duplicate: Screen 100%
Second duplicate (Now Top Layer): Soft Light 100%

Your Layers Should Be in this order:

I Duplicated my original base
Drag that layer to the top.
I went to EDIT > TRANSFORM > ROTATE
I did this to get a slight tilt to give the image less balance, though this is not necessary.

I used the Magic Wand Tool
To Get rid of the white around him.

After I had all the white selected I then cut it (ctrl+x)
Sometimes just erasing the white with the eraser tool can work better.
Whichever you choose.

I duplicated the colored elijah layer
Set it to screen 100%

I went to LAYER > NEW ADJUSTMENT LAYER > HUE/SATURATION
Master: +29
Reds: +25
Yellows: +34
Greens: +29
Cyans: +38
Blues: +53
Magentas: +35

I went to LAYER > NEW ADJUSTMENT LAYER > COLOR BALANCE
Midtones: -48 0 +44

I went to LAYER > NEW ADJUSTMENT LAYER > SELECTIVE COLORING
Reds: -60 0 +12 +33
Yellows: +100 0 -30 0
Cyans: +4 0 +100 +24
Blues: +100 0 0 +100
Neutrals: +51 0 0 0

I then added this brush.
#CCCCCC

I then added this texture by Tokyonoir
Set it to Multiply

I added a fuzzy edged brush (They come default with Photoshop)
Put it in the upper left-hand corner.
106px #FF2A2A
Set it to Linear Dodge
Similar to this

I added each line of text separately
I also rotated each of them seperately (EDIT > TRANSORM > ROTATE)
Font used: Desyrel available at Dafont.com
Size: 12-14pt

And Viola!
