Im thinking of bleeching some jeans to wear to 80s night, anyone have suggestions on the best way to do it?

So I'm watching VH1's "I Love the 80's" and I suddenly remembered that, when I was a kid, I was rocking the pink button-up dress with white shorts underneath. I'd pull my hair up on the side, throw on a pair of thick white socks and white high-tops, and I was stylin. Anybody else remember that style?
