Title: Purity
Author: libekory
Claim: Axel/Roxas
Prompt: #08  ["holy"]
Warnings: Violence, and distinctly semi-consensual sexuality. Plus, Axel's molesting a priest, so there's all sorts of wrong, isn't there?

So I said it in AIM, but I LOVE how well you put this together. There's a nice balance, somehow, between Axel and Roxas in the present and Axel in the past. The molesting of Father Dumoulin was especially fantasticwrong, and I love the balance between that bit of horrible and Roxas's subtler settling into the role demanded of him by the Organization. (Especially Roxas's settling. How mostly he seems just curious about the world, but between the lack of a heart and the Organization's dubious-at-best methods, he's growing into this role of cold and nasty and. ♥ Just seeing that.)

The parts about the lesser Nobodies were really interesting, too! And the prime hearts, and, and stuff. ♥

I do love your writing. *purrs on*

God that icon. XD

*loves~* Eee. The Notre Dame setting is sort of horribly wrong but I loved it so much. AXEL WAS TOTALLY A CHOIRBOY AT SOME POINT. An evil, horrible little choirboy. (That part was interesting for me; it's true. Roxas is capable of being really horrible, but he's always distant from it, and you get the feeling, without the heart, he doesn't so much prefer it to goodness as it sometimes seems... more expedient.)

♥♥ This is one fanfic I've had in the back of my head for ages. I was so happy when it started coming together the other day~.

... Wowwwwww.

I grinned so many times during this fic. I particularly like the way you portray Orgy!Roxas. It's perfect. I like that asshole side of him, I guess. Completely different person from TLTWN Roxas.

New OTP = AxelxPriest. XD

Only, sadly, I kept getting mental images of the priestguy from FMA. I was hoping for something more like the one from Trinity Blood. Damn it!

Hee, thank you. I like Organization!Roxas, too; so cold, so... untouchable. *purr*

! XD You're awful. I love it. ♥

(Hahahahahano. Nothing like the FMA priest. *did a search for "trinity blood priest", found a pretty pale blond young man with glasses; that works. we're talking twenty-eight or so. he's always "older" because axel is fifteen-sixteen here. maaaybe should put in a better description!*)

Ha. Not in my imagination. -Grin.-

XD I know. At least I've not graduated to necrophilia yet. XD

(I figured! No, I think the description is fine; it's just my twisted mentality.)

♥ Technically he's still around. He's just... a Creeper! :D

(Well you've got it anyway! I added it before seeing this comment. XD I hope it's okay?)

There's so much here that I love that I really can't pinpoint one or two things. The Assassins! Axel's temptation, Axel pointing out the light and Lucifer and Roxas and... ♥ The two timelines blended together really well, and just... yes.

♥ Thank you. I was worried while writing this that I'd want up being too irreverent with Christianity; all opinions stated about people's hearts are entirely, entirely Axel's own. XD I had. a lot more fun here than I should have. X3

Love love love. ♥ I agree with everyone else, there's this perfect balance between the little interludes with Roxas and the longer interludes in Notre Dame. Axel's interactions with him add a whole depth of flavor to what might otherwise be a standard backstory-story.

I love Axel's voice in the narration, how you can really sense his frustration and disorientation and evil thought processes that led him to do what he accidentally did totally right, and I love how you describe the breaking of the priest, and I love, love, love that Axel keeps him from becoming... a talkier Nobody. It conveys such a powerful sense of... not shame, but definite distaste, of resentment and maintaining his secret. It's so perfectly Axel -- exactly the sort of cruel, merciless self-serving thing you'd expect from him. Looove.

Eee, thank you. ♥ So much.

"To what he accidentally did totally right" is such lovely phrasing and sums it up so nicely. X3 And hooray, I like that part too. The image of him standing above the Creeper, chatting merrily with his Assassins, is something I really do love. And hey, Creepers have to come~ from~ somewhere~

This was really creepy. There are some continuity problems with it - Roxas' job in the organization was to kill Heartless, because taking them out with a keyblade charges Kingdom Hearts. I'm not sure they were in the world-destroying business at all. But after reading so many stories that ignore the fact that the Organization are villians, damn it (Axel, for example, is pretty much amoral to everyone but Roxas) it's a breath of fresh air to see someone really deal with the evil parts. And the slow, subtle awfulness was just nicely done. (Molesting a priest, geez.)

Thank you for the kind words; I'm not someone who thinks the Organization was full of fluffy kittens. I've always thought of it this way: Xehanort and his crew were evil even before they became Nobodies. I mean, the experiments they performed to get at the darkness in a human heart were really, really inhumane. So it seems unlikely that they'd be sweethearts now that they, err, don't have hearts.

But, on the continuity part, I~ disagree. It's just an assumption on our parts that Roxas's only job was to kill Heartless, and hardly unreasonable, I think, to instead assume that he did some additional work, too. (And of course I remember what they wanted Sora to kill Heartless for. XD)

Also, we know that the Organization was in the business of, at the very least, making more Heartless out of people. (See: Xaldin in Beast's Castle, trying to make him into a Heartless.) Which requires some world-destruction, as follows ( ... )

I find it faster to refer to Xehanort-pretending-to-be-Ansem as Ansem the Dumb. :-)

And I think most of the Organization actually wasn't doing anything all that aggressive before they got Roxas. If they were going around destroying worlds by the dozen, they would have run into Mickey, who's had a keyblade for a while. But you're right that they make Heartless, it's just that Roxas wouldn't leave, after - not until he'd carved up as many as he could. Or I guess... unless they decided it was easier to take them out as they invaded other worlds, like the World That Never Was.

I like prime hearts, though, that makes sense and explains a lot. And I hope you don't take this as hostile or flame-y or anything, it's just that the best part of being a speculator is arguing with other speculators - just friendly debate. And it's a great story either way.

No, no, not as flame-y. XD Although the "continuity error" line jumped out at me, since we're mainly talking about things that are entirely, as you say, speculation. Hard to make an error there! XD But I like these discussions. A theory is never fully formed until you have to explain it to someone else anyway. *purr ( ... )
