Announcement 2
Dear very valued members of the Bones fandom and 206_bones!
As most of you have guessed and hoped my announcement post from yesterday was indeed an
April's Fools PRANK!
diabolitos, toomanysides, traciepwns and me actually came up with it, so props to all of the mods, not just to me. It was decided in the very end that I would make the post because most people know how anal I can be about rules and how pissed I can get if people don't follow them ;-p Hence it all added to the prank being more realistic.
However, I was really squeamish that a lot of you would get upset and I didn't want that either, hence we linked to the news post which clearly is a prank as well and we did put in the bolde letters for everyone to read too.
Now don't feel bad if you didn't get it - we were pretty convincing as it was ;-p
As for the truth:
We still do get the occasional entry that has to be rejected because people don't read our rules but it's nowhere near 25 entries a day. It's maybe one a week or every two weeks.
We maintainers do appreciated it though if you read and follow or rules ;-)
Some of you guys made some really touching comments or even posted something in your personal journals. We as a group wanted to thank you all for doing this because that really meant a lot for us! It's not every day that we are told that we are doing something right. It's more the opposite actually - so that was a very nice break!
Some comments actually made us go 'awww let's tell her, she's so nice she doesn't deserve to be worried!'.
We love you. We love this fandom. We love this community.
While I do have phases where I just want to delete it because it's more hassle than it's hoff I am quickly reminded by the other mods that they could take over and I could just leave. So don't worry, nobody is going to delete this place!
Thanks for all the comments, entries and the immense fun you gave us yesterday!
All comments are unscreened now so you can go and have fun chatting to each other about all the theories some people had and the really clever ways people tried to smuggle a message past the screened comments ;-p
P.S. Our first idea was to make up a false entry with 'David Boreanaz to get a sex change'. It was a good thing this feel flat! ;-p
