It's so refreshing to see Brennan showing an opinion about something instead of being all 'quantify that'. Awesome!

Oh my God, polygamy & polyamory are not a ~secret world~. Haha. WTF. It's kind of like when everyone was so surprised over Hannah not being more jealous about Brennan. My reaction was, "Well, maybe she's been in open relationships before. Helloooooo." I have! It's not that crazy.

I'm really looking forward to this one.

I wouldn't say it's a "secret" world but it's definitely considered a taboo by most first world nations (a term I hate by the way).

Yes, absolutely a taboo, but not a "secret world" (not so secret if Brennan could tell them all about it, right? Ha). That's what cracked me up. It was so dun dun DUN. Hee. They even cut to Hodgins' face with the editing to try to make it seem like he was all *shocked* to hear of its existence. "People dating more than one person at a time & being honest about it, without everyone freaking out? I've never heard of such a thing! That only happens in Utah, right?" No, no it pretty much happens all over. The "sister wives" thing is more so what's a secretive subculture, because of the religious element, but polyamory in general in first world nations is fairly widespread. They just don't walk around calling their partners "sister wives" & dressing like pioneers.

Anyway, don't worry--I didn't actually take the FOX trailer seriously (i.e. as something offensive). I just thought it was funny. :)

I don't think is so much the multiple partners/spouse thing that shocks people but more the "all the wives are sisters, biologially" thing. Cuz I gotta be honest, when you tell me a man has 3 wives (or woman 3 husbands) my reaction is "Meh, I wonder who does all that damn laundry?" but when you tell me those spouses are siblings... well then I'm a little weirded out and a bit shocked at how they deal emotionally with their relationships.
