I bet they'll use this as either an end of the season thing, or use it as a storyline NEXT season and bring EM back as a regular.
Since he's just an accessory to the murder, like somebody said above, they'll probably find that out and he'll either stay where he is or do time in jail while waiting for trial. He'd probably get off with probation and his time in the loony bin will count as time served.
I wonder if they would bring him back. Do they just consider him extraneous? They clearly don't love the character as much as the fans. I really hope you're right!
I like to think they'll bring Zach back full time, because they wouldn't have bothered to mention that he was innocent AT ALL if they weren't planning on exploring it further and later on.
Considering the whole Zach as the apprentice thing came out of nowhere, I'm wondering if it was just a rushed storyline decision because of the strike last season or something.
I didn't think I'd miss Zach that much until this season started and I found out it's not the same without him!
If I am not mistaken, it was dicussed furtehr. But me, I think it had to do with the strike and they were afraid of losing audience.
My theory is, I follow TV. I know when my shows are on becuase I look it up on the internet and so forth, but people like my uncle, they don't. They flip to the channel at the usual time and if it's not there, they end up watching something else.
I don't think Networks realize that. They think we have TV schedules downloaded into our brains.
I'm desperately hoping they'll release him or relocate him somewhere towards the end of the season. In the meantime, brief updates and appearances of our Zackaroni will do just fine. =)
