Pray - молиться. If you forgive someone who has done something bad or wrong, you stop being angry with them and no longer want to punish* them: She'll understand and forgive you, if she really loves you.
To punish someone means to make them suffer in some way because they have done something wrong: Don't punish your child for being honest*.
If you describe someone as honest, you mean that they always tell the truth, and do not try to deceive - обманывать - people or break the law: I know she's honest and reliable*.
People or things that are reliable can be trusted to work well or to behave - вести себя - in the way that you want them to: Japanese cars are so reliable.
If you quit an activity or quit doing something, you stop doing it (mainly AM): I was trying to quit smoking at the time. = give up
