Finally completed my absentee ballot, because I'll be in Hawaii on Election Day, and mailed it. Spouse pointed out I'll be in Obama's state on Election Day! And when the HI returns are in, it's over. No nervewracking wait for results for me ( Read more... )

Man, all you people voting by absentee ballot. I can't relate. I want to march into the voting booth on Election Day itself and purposefully cast my vote. It's one of my favorite days of the year, no shit.

I like the voting site too, but that's the week of Sweet Adelines competition - inappropriately scheduled over Election Day, what were they thinking??? So, I'm only going to Honolulu, and the only actual vacation-type things on my list are to visit the Arizona Memorial and visit the ocean. Spouse is staying home with the boys. With the two new babies, we couldn't ask for a week of child care. Besides, I'll be busy for part of each day of the week.
