Check the interview, he's got a sweet charm streak. Not Tennant like, but it gives me good thoughts of him being the Doctor.

I love nobodies because it leaves everything to be up to their work at that time, with no prior references. Though I saw the above interview, and it gave me good hopes for what he may bring to the roll.

I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt until I see the show, as I haven't seen anything he's done. All I can say is that he must have had ome amazing whiz-bang of an audition to blow the other contenders out of the water.

I was actually looking forward to an older Doctor to help level-out some of the fangirlish foolishness that has gripped the DW fandom. Don't get me wrong...I'm all for squee (I've done it myself) but some of the Squee'ers seriously need to calm themselves.

At this rate, Doctor Who is fast-becoming The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. How old are regenerations 12 and 13 going to wind up being...12 or 13? :p

I was expecting an older Doctor, but understand a need for potentially younger ones (due to the work on set, action, etc). Though I'd agree with the CCBB reference, the fact Davison was 29 kinda throws that idea out. Plus, Nine was in his late forties. We'll see after 11 has his run, how young 12 ends up being lol.

I still don't want to make any judgments until I see him as The Doctor, but I enjoyed his interview.

I will agree, all judgments must be reserved until the actual episode is aired. Only at that time will we really know how we feel. The only thing I know is the interview/photo has me much more optimistic than originally.

I'm pretty surprised...although I'm hoping this isn't because of the fangirl viewers.

Huh? What do you mean?

Well, he's handsome. However, if he was chosen for his acting ability, it's probably not a factor.

Thing is, being handsome is in the eye of the beholder. Personally the Doctor I found the most handsome was Paul McGann, which most wouldn't say was hired for that reason alone.

I'm pretty sure Moffat hired him for his audition, and took little into consideration regarding his attractiveness.
