You girls did amazing, as always. Cool make up jobs!
Ailsa - The second photo is terrifying (which is good)! I love the tank top/jeans outfit. Totally screams action/thriller movie. I also really liked that the last pic is focused on the ground and you blurry in the back, it gives it a eerily wonderful photographic feel.
Balqis - Your photos truly looked like movie screen caps, you did superb this week. Love the gun prop! Despite the beat up look in 4th pic, you still look so gorgeous.
I'm gonna miss 'competing' (it's in quotes because it didn't feel like a competition at all!) with you guys this was an awesome cycle given the circumstances <33 May the best model win!
lol yes....I didn't plan on it but figured it was most appropriate. I originally wanted to take them on my campus because of the big open space but there were parents here this weekend visiting (college admission season) and I wanted the scene to look empty. And it rained/snowed here so I guess the weather worked out (but shame to snow in April).
The gun is still cute nonetheless. I wish I had a weapon to defend against zombies haha!
I can't believe we've reached the end of yet another cycle. Lots of drama this cycle regarding dropouts and each of us had our own real life issues to deal with (I discovered I had a heart condition just in November last year, so to take my mind off feeling sick and going in and out of the hospital I decided to take part in this cycle) but I think we managed to make it work
( ... )
I sincerely don't like saying competition at all because with you two, it hasn't been competitive in any way. More like: here are the themes, let's see how we interpret them. I never thought any of us did better than the other, it was just more interesting to see how we did. And your only 'weakness' was the camera quality to me. I mean, I'm a full time student on campus too so I know what it's like to not have the right props, clothes, scenes, TIME or get the best angles for the shots. You worked it out girl!
I agree entirely. It's just been such fun working with you guys- for me, the overall compilation of pictures is the finished product. We've all just been part of making a single design for each theme, which have always turned out beautifully. Balquis, sweetpea, you're wonderful- I actually thought your stuff was best this week. We all have our off days and then one terrific cycle. I think the Body Beautiful one was where all three of us came into our own. Lol, go us.
I LOVE your movie-still look, Balquis. And the overall feeling of isolation is just amazing, I think this is def one of your best shoots. Natt, back in the cemetary! The last two shots are brilliant, I love the emotion in the second to last. The evolving storyline is just great too.
Lol, I used up SO much lipstick and silk paint for blood on this shoot.
i used a mix of icing sugar, cornstarch, water and red and green food colouring for blood in mine. that's what they use for stage makeup (i think they also use cornsyrup but meh too sticky). i love your zombie photos so much; they're awesomeness personified.
