You're brilliant. Sometimes I wish you were my grandfather or something.
In a sense. I think he's getting better--I hope he'll be well enough to work next week, because he's getting terribly antsy. Beginning to turn into a true teenager, that one, and I don't think he likes it. :D
Ah... I do my best. I merely fulfill my function to the best of my ability.
Grandfather? ... Mm, I do not know if I will be much of one, but again, thank you, madam. You are always free to come by the library for a chat or a cup of tea. Your name, if I may ask?
If he is getting antsy, then it might be a good indication that he is beginning to feel better. I hope he recovers fully soon.
He's a writer (most of the time, sometimes he takes care of bees too). He wrote The Sandman (plus a bunch of other spin-offs), which is about your boss, I mean, ex-boss, er, well, BOTH of your bosses. YOUR ANTHROPOMORPHIC ENTITIES ARE HELLA CONFUSING! Did you ever get that feeling?
Anyway, of course, he's familiar with you Loosh, he created you after all. Well, by association anyway? Since, well, he created Morpheus and Morpheus made you?
And come on, now... no need to be shy about it. Corinthian is out of the closet isn't he?
What is all that gobbledygook that you have just sprouted?
I do not think my bosses are meant to be understood easily, if you catch my meaning. They are... complex entities.
My Lord Morpheus was Lord Dream's first iteration. If you mean it that way, then yes, he created me. Lord Daniel/Dream is still my creator, because he still is Lord Dream.
... I profess that I do not know who created him, nor the Endless. I do not think that is a question that we must explore for now.
That is the Corinthian's preference. What makes this Gaiman person think that I have that inclination?
Icarus. Quite the fascinating name you have there. Ah, rest assured Lord Dream knows them all. Unfortunately, I don't know as much of the dreams of the dreamers as he does. I tend to stay in the library most of the time, as you can imagine.
Splendid! What blend would you like? With sugar, or lemon, or with milk?

So. Do YOU know about this Neil Gaiman fellow??

I think that he is a writer of some sort. I have seen some of his works back in the Dreaming's library. But strangely, beyond that, nothing.

And I just wanted to thank you for trying to keep Ptolemy safe--that boy just doesn't take good care of himself sometimes. >.>

Ah, you are a friend of Ptolemy's? How is he? Is he recovering well?

... and why is he talking with such familiarity with me?
I beg your pardon?!

Uhm...I just wanted to say that you make me want to be a librarian too.
That's all...

Truly? Then I am honored. The world needs more librarians to take care of the written words and histories of people.
Mm. Will you not stay for tea and company?

Yes, exactly!
Mm...well, for a little while, maybe. Thank you~

... there are a lot of them today though, my Lady. And the day has only just begun.
I see that the Lord-Lady has returned to the City.
