I was really so obvious in the movie that Hank was the only one Alex picked on.

I can't believe Hank sat gym class out when he can outrun anybody. I hope he does show off his abilities, eventually.

And of course what I am-- what everyone (including Alex) is-- waiting for is for Hank to snap (and then plant a big wet kiss on Alex's snarky mouth).

why are high school AUs so damn addicting? and this one is definitely no exception. loving the pigtail pulling already! can't wait for hank to snap. and possibly kick alex so he knows how strong he really is? idk haha i kind of want it.

Alex starts to tap his foot - which is still decidedly on Hank’s desk - against the air, a rhythmic 1, 2, 3, 4 that sets Hank’s desk shaking. Hank lasts through a whole twenty seconds of it before he slams his book shut and whirls on Alex.

“Why are you doing this?” Hank demands, his voice already loud in the stillness of the classroom.

“Do I need a reason?”

“I haven’t done anything to you, and you haven’t left me alone for a second ( ... )

Scott’s waiting for Alex when he bursts in; one look at his face and Alex knows it’s already too late.

He’s about ready to turn right around and bolt again, when all of a sudden he can’t move, can’t do anything but breathe and blink and panic.

A man in a wheelchair enters the room. He’s got wavy brown hair and kind eyes, and he smiles when he sees Alex.

“Hello, Alex,” he says quietly. Alex is surprised to hear a British accent. “I’m afraid we haven’t been properly introduced. I’m Charles Xavier. If you promise not to run off, I’d like the chance to speak with you.”

Alex is still frozen, so it’s not like he can respond to that, and Professor Xavier just looks at him for a moment, this deep, searching gaze, and it’s almost like he can hear Alex’s desperation to be free, please, he’ll listen to whatever the Professor wants to tell him if he can just move again, this is too much like his own body is a prison ( ... )
