Charles/Erik Blindness (slight AU)

So, instead of killing Shaw and taking his revenge near the end of the movie, Shaw manages to severely damage Erik's eyes, causing him to go blind. Shaw gets away to fight another day, and Erik ends up staying with Charles (and the whole thing with Charles getting shot never happens.)

Charles becomes his eyes through telepathy. Obviously he can only do this when they're together.

Bonus points for working through the psychological trauma of the event.
