Snape was shocked when he found out his potions finesse came from a mutant ability to manipulate liquids. He could turn water into wine if he wanted to. He was even more shocked when he found out Charles Xavier wanted him to be more than just a medicine man.

He wonders if that's why Erik, ahem Magneto, is so hell-bent on killing him.
