Erik/Charles AU: they meet at a de-gayifying camp

Erik and Charles meet after both are sent to one of those camps where they claim to de-gay people. Up to the writer whether they also have their powers... it would be up to the writer whether they had their powers in this au verse or not. If they did they could use them to escape/rebel/change the minds of their captors and/or wreak vengeance if you wanted to go darker.
