I would love to read a story where Erik is aggressively protective of Charles, like mama bear protecting her cubs kind of aggressive. Any story where Erik/Magneto is physically there to protect Charles from those who would hurt him.

Maybe it's set sometime during the movie-- Or maybe it's after the events of first class and maybe Erik has convinced himself that Charles is a fool, one that he doesn't want/need anymore, but who is he kidding (not us!) and at the first wind of Charles in trouble he drops everything to protect the one he loves. [Bonus points if there's some Charles-whumpage in there-- if Charles realizes he needs Erik, too.]
