Charles/Erik; kitten au

(Note: Charles is a human, Erik is a mutant, and they’ve never met before.)

While recruiting mutants to his cause, Erik happens to offend a mutant with the power of transfiguration. He winds up being turned into a kitten and is kicked out onto the streets of New York. Erik is a menacing, self-reliant kitten, yes, but he’s also tiny and susceptible to chills -- and so when a young human professor eventually picks him up and murmurs softly to him and tucks him into his jacket, Erik doesn’t immediately claw him to ribbons

I ove this fic, I really do, but, um... shouldn't Charles be a little more suspicious at this point? He's found a cat that 1) knows letters, 2) reads, 3) knows how to spell words...

Hi, I know that this is already being filled but I spent all Sunday writing this and yesterday and today finishing it so I thought I'd post anyway. I'm afraid I don't feel like it will be as great as the other but, here it is.

Also there's a little Charles/Hank, I hope that's ok.

He really wished that Emma could tell him what kind of mutants he was going out to recruit. He's pretty sure she can but she enjoys being withholding and kind of hates him. Really though, she could've given him a little heads up about this mutant and how he was prone to foul moods and bad jokes. That's how Erik ended up being changed from a man to a cat. A kitten, really. A teeny tiny helpless kitten who didn't have the power to bend metal to his will. Erik missed the way metal called to him. Missed the way it felt

A noise jerked Erik awake and he was on all fours in a second. Looking up, he saw a young man jumping up the steps trying to get out of the rain. The human was holding a bag over his head and cursing. Erik growled and the man looked down,

"Hello there," The English accent came as a surprise, Erik hissed in response, "Oh don't be like that, kitty. It's not safe for you out here." The man bent down and held out his fingers, making these delightful clicking noises with his mouth. This was new. Erik took a step forward and sniffed at his fingers. He didn't smell bad for a human but. "Come on, kitty. Let me pet you and I'll make you a deal. I'll take you out of the rain," Warmth, Erik longed for warmth. He bumped his head against the fingers. They were cold from the rain. But before Erik knew it he was being swept up. He yowled but the man murmured to him to keep quiet and unlocked the door

Being a kept cat is much better than living on the streets, Erik decided. That first night Charles had pulled some smoked salmon out of the refrigerator and put it on a plate for him. Erik licked Charles' fingers afterward, it was the only way he could say thank you. Charles put the towel in the window seat in his bedroom and placed Erik on it and told him to sleep there and scratched behind Erik's ears and under his chin. Erik stayed there for most of the night but Charles started tossing and turning after awhile and mumbled. Erik navigated the dark room, jumping to the floor then the bed before settling beside Charles' head. The human calmed considerably

this is the part with the Hank/Charles, it is brief, thoughErik started becoming restless. He'd been a cat for six whole days. He started to worry that this might be permanent. Charles was sleeping on his stomach, one arm hanging over the edge of the bed. His hair obscuring some of his face which was splotchy red with sleep. He kept noticing things about Charles, like how he dressed like he's seventy and how he genuinely doesn't realize he's not talking to a person when he's talking to Erik. He even asked him questions like, "What do you think, Maxxie?" and Erik would look at this strangely wonderful human and wanted to talk to him. It's the first time since he'd been recruiting mutants that he'd ever wanted to willingly speak to a human. Humans were supposed to be beneath him

He was sure that if they were headed to the bedroom, this would deter them. It felt strange to receive so much satisfaction from plopping the dead mouse into Charles' pillow. It shouldn't have felt right but he was proud of himself. If Charles only knew that he was a man and not a cat, he would certainly be proud. They stumbled into the room just a few moments later, nearly disrobed except for undergarments. Erik jumped from the bed and hid underneath. He watched as they clumsily fell into bed together. Erik scooted on his belly underneath the bed and came out on the other side. He could see them tangling together, Hank propped up on his elbows and they were kissing more slowly than they had been at the door. Erik watched as Hank's ape-like feet curled in pleasure. He wasn't sure what to think about Charles Xavier, a human mutant lover. Erik couldn't stop staring at him, the way he kissed and the way he started sliding his mouth down Hank's body. Erik pictured his own true body and tried to remember what this might feel like

He dreamed of metal. He dreamed of how it felt under his hands and how it would bend towards him and how it sang to him. He missed that sound so much. In his dream he felt it's call again. Felt it calling to him and he reached for it. It was the most beautiful dream he'd ever had in his life but he could feel himself waking up. He felt the light from the window on his eyes and meant to curl up more tightly next to Charles, he was freezing. Charles made a noise beside him and Erik turned. His whole body turned. The bed moved with his weight and the metal cried for him. Erik raised his head and looked down the length of his actual body. His arm was thrown over Charles, holding him close. His face had planted directly into Charles' hair. He breathed in deeply before Charles groaned again and started to turn

“So wait, let me get this straight,” Raven said, her voice still sounded confused through the phone, “The mutant, who was your cat, is now someone you sleep with?” Charles’ soft laugh and the nod of his head (that Raven couldn’t see) forced Erik to smile. He was curled around Charles, almost exactly like he had been the day he’d woken up normal. This time, however, Charles was fully aware he was in bed with a man

This is so adorable. I want to read more in this little verse, I really want to know more about this Charles. He's such a sweetie.

Erik as a cat was perfect. The mouse was hilarious. In all lovely. Fill more things please!!
