Charles/Erik, sleep cute anonymous July 6 2011, 21:10:46 UTC

On their epic bromantic cross-country search for mutants, Charles and Erik have a very long day spent trying to track down a mutant who gives them hell and refuses to go with them. So they're both tired and discouraged, Charles moreso than Erik because he could feel this mutant's pain and resentment and couldn't help him/her.

They're both waiting for the bus or cab to get them to the next location, when Charles falls asleep on Erik's shoulder. Erik's kind of torn about this because on the one hand, personal space/trust issues, on the other, omg he's so cute when he's asleep and helpless! But eventually, Erik just goes with it and even shifts so that Charles is more comfortable and glares daggers at anyone who tries to disturb his sleeping crush friend!

Thank you so much! :D I enjoyed writing Erik essentially giving up on being cross with Charles for getting them into that mess, b/c Charles is such a woobie. :p

Oh now this is precious and lovely. Charles' fatigue and Erik's empathy were palpable, and I love how Erik tensed up at first but then relaxed and tried to make Charles comfortable. The tenderness is making me feel all floaty ^^

So it may have veered off in a strange direction (and it may not be as good as fill number one), but here's my fill. :3Erik never understood how Charles could be so optimistic about everything. Of all people. Charles. The telepath. The mind reader. Charles. The person that heard every thought, felt every emotion. Charles. The person that knew the pain and guilt and baggage and evil that resided in every soul he came across ( ... )

Not OP.
However, I adore both of these fills. I must say that I find your fill particularly endearing simply for the last few paragraphs. I love how we can tell that Erik's irritation is due to his affection for Charles, but that it isn't fully stated until the very end. It's lovely. :)

Aw, this was wonderful! :D

Poor sleepy, disappointed Charles. I absolutely love how Erik takes care of him, thinking Charles would never be the wiser. And the tin-foil ball at the end was so perfect. XD
