Can someone please cheer me up with fic where one of the guys is shirtless and holding a baby? And the other is all, 'that is both dawww and hot'?

I have no idea why they'd have a baby and I don't care. *reaches for the lemsip*

When Raven told him she was going away on a much-needed, somewhat-overdue-but-still-very-much-necessary honeymoon with her recently legalized husband, Charles, by all means, was fine with it; after all, she was a newlywed, and she did deserve a break after the child birth and the strenuous process of working out the relationship with the baby's father, which was resolved in a formalized marriage and settling down. And he was happy for her; she'd finally found someone to share her life with after several heartbreaks, one of which he himself was sadly responsible for. Azazel was a good man, despite his past actions of violence and bloodshed - the man had an unwavering sense of soldier's loyalty in him, which had been staked on Shaw at the time, but now fiercely directed towards Raven and their child. Charles had no doubt that he'd do Raven good.

What caught Charles off guard, however, was that he would be left with the duty of looking after Raven's son while the couple were gone. Of course, he was a teacher and a nurturer firsthand to

Erik had been surprisingly tolerant of the baby and his abilities, which, on Charles's part, busied him to no end (in fact, he suspected that Erik found this teleporting hide-and-seek rather amusing, and rolled his eyes at him; Erik had only smirked in response), and very patient in the menial tasks of babysitting - feeding, washing, even changing the diapers. What annoyed Erik, however, was that the baby's cradle had to be brought into their shared bedroom in case the infant decided to spirit itself away, which would then be a problem. And, to Erik's exasperation, Charles was decent enough not go beyond kissing and cuddling in the bed when they had a minor in their room

"Oh dear," was all Charles said, before jumping out of the bed and hurrying to the baby. Erik groaned, slapping his hand over his eyes.

"Why does that kid remind me of his mother more than ever?" Erik muttered to himself; Charles more or less ignored this comment, only glowering at him momentarily before turning his full attention to the whining baby. He shushed the baby soothingly, stroking its hair, gently rocking the bundle of blue skin and bright eyes that reminded him so much of his beloved sister in his arms. He could feel the heat radiating from the baby, similar to the warmth that Erik gave him whenever he held him in his arms, close to his heart and soaking into his bare skin.

The baby, after a few fretful whimpers and struggles, quietened down visibly. Charles smiled inadvertently, and looked up from the baby to meet Erik's intense gaze. Charles blinked, in silent what?; Erik smiled, and it made his normally-reserved British heart skip a beat.

Never had I thought I would find a man holding a baby in his arms so beautiful.

That is *exactly* what I was wanting - thank you nonny!! Charles running round after Kurt and the banter and baby-holding-while-shirtless (twice!) and moral!Charles being - almost - so easily persuadable! XD And reluctant-but-capitulating Erik was just lovely -

Author here. Glad you liked it. Actually, this was my first time feeling for the fandom and English isn't my first language, so I was extremely nervous. No beta. Had to proofread the thing myself and I'm sure there are many mistakes- but I'm happy that it made you feel better. :)

Thanks XD You know, just after writing the fic, I realized that whenever people hold something in their arms, whether it be a teddy bear or a baby, they hold it so its head rests against their heart. Then I was like, awwwwwwwww. WORLD IS BEAUTIFUL. XD
