Supervillains don't belong to any huge "We Are Baddies" club. They may work for some time to achieve their goals but may as well be enemies.
During one of the missions Riptide gets captured, beaten and raped. Then he is freed by Magneto & Co - but the damage has already been done. I want to see each member of the team reacting differently - someone is horrified, someone - uncomfortable; someone else (= Emma) simply doesn't care.

The main person who actually cares is Azazel, who is Janos' lover - and tries to make him feel better. But, being a demon, he doesn't quite understand how human psyche works and starts feeling a little bit helpless. Despite feeling extremely uncomfortable and awkward he decides to ask someone for advice.

Bonus points if Magneto's - Erik's - advice helps.

Janos thinks there might be something wrong with him. His body has healed. He moves easily again. He fights better than before, even ( ... )

I love that Emma worked through her flashback/PTSD and helped Janos through his. I'd like to smack Erik a couple of times for being so FAIL.

Well, the reason I wrote Erik that way was not to make him unlikeable, but simply because I always thought of him as being a rather hard man. Also, kind of unstable. I do not imagine he thinks of trauma the same way others do. The camps defined him as a person, and he seems to think it made him a stronger man. I could see him leaning towards the idea that pain and loss makes you a more powerful person in the end.

Emma's past I took many liberties with. I just really enjoy her as a character, and like using her as much as possible.

I am glad you enjoyed the fill.
