There are the kisses when Rukia returns from a mission, coming in through Chizuru's window, sweaty and panting and glad to be alive. Her agile tongue forces its way past Chizuru's lips, glides along the sensitive spots on her neck, laps at her small breasts. She fucks the red-haired girl with those graceful fingers, fast and hard. Chizuru comes almost immediately, crying out Rukia's name. They collapse on the bed, the shinigami curled catlike against her lover. Then the exhausted kiss before they sleep: an apology from Rukia for being so rough, and acceptance from Chizuru, who already knows.
And then there are the other kisses, when the two meet for a day out. Chizuru will sweep Rukia up for a peck on the cheek. The smaller girl chastely reciprocates, pressing her soft lips to Chizuru's own. There will be little kisses like these all through their date, followed by blushes and giggles. And at the end of the day, it is Rukia who initiates their good-night kiss. Chizuru swears that when people kiss in the movies, this is what it feels like. Once again, as they pull apart, neither needs to speak. Because it is Rukia's gaze, not her voice, that tells Chizuru, "I love you."
