#01 - Comfort
It still amazed him how someone like Rita could comfort him with a simple hug, something no other human being could archive.
#02 - Kiss
Dexter deposited a swift kiss on her cheek before leaving, but when he was about to leave he changed his mind; he turned around and kissed her lips without asking for permission.

His muscles made him seem rough, but Rita knew better; he was softer in the inside than any other person he knew, and that was one of the reasons why she never judged a book by its cover.

After so much pain, when she met Dexter, Rita decided that perhaps she could deserve some happiness in the end... it didn't sound like such an impossible idea after meeting him.

Dexter observed Rita teaching Astor how to properly cut a potato and wondered if his own biological mother had ever been as kind and loving as his girlfriend was with her children.

The moon and the stars looked beautiful that night, as Rita descended from the car and gave him a quick kiss he got a glimpse of her face thanks to the illumination said stars provided; he was relieved to confirm how happy she looked.

He always returned to his own appartment, but spending so much time at Rita's place made him start to call that place home too.

He was utterly confused; since when did Rita had the power to manipulate him into anything with just a beautiful smile?

Words couldn't express the relief he felt when his fears were gone; his identity remained a secret and Rita was still his, what more could he ask?

"Calm down, Cody. We're both here for you, no thunder is going to strike you" Dexter reassured him, Rita smiling as the young boy nodded, believing those words.

Dexter never bonded with a human being to such a deep level as he did with Rita, not even with Debra... perhaps he should keep that statement to himself, or Deb would probably kill him.

A trip to the market didn't sound as something very complicated, but it was when he was taking two little kids who had little sleep... Rita apologized for every disaster they caused repeatedly, but he just laughed it off; after all, it was a fun day.

Vince had once asked if he had ever tried sex by online camera; Dexter just replied that his and Rita's sex life was none of his business and that he should mind his own business.

"Happy birthday" she muttered before proceeding to grant him a kiss as a gift.

A simple smile from Dexter was enough for her to be able to keep living, to keep going on and enjoying her life; his smile saved her.

Rita's innocence was a blessing, she couldn't know the true him, it was too dangerous... he couldn't possibly lose her.

Dexter never thought he would say something so ridiculously corny, yet he admitted Rita completed him in every possible sense.

"A storm's coming" warned Rita as she saw dark clouds approaching; later, she laughed as Dexter and Cody ran inside completely wet and leaving their baseball game unfinished.

Astor had once asked how much did he love her mom, to which he replied that he loved her to the sky, to the moon, and further beyond; she smiled satisfied with the answer and returned to playing with Cody.

If heaven existed, which he didn't believe, he just hoped there was some way he could sneak in, just to stay with Rita.

He would go to hell, even if he didn't believe in hell, that was for sure... what a pity, Rita was so amazing that they would probably be separated in the after life.

"It's a beautiful, sunny day" mentioned Rita "why don't you stay all day in bed with me then?"

The charming moon couldn't even be compared to Rita's charm; she possessed something that trascended the physical... she was unique.

As the waves crashed against his boat, Dexter observed the body going down and smiled; another person leaving the world not only meant his mind was at peace but it also meant he had somehow helped the world... made it a better place; for her, and for everyone.

"Do you like it?" asked Rita, touching her new hairstyle; she felt herself blush when Dexter nodded and proceeded to kiss her.
