It may have been the anesthetic talking, but when he heard Jade demand in a low growl for Beck’s “dead, disgusting appendix in a jar full of formaldehyde”, then whisper wishes of good luck, he felt a strange sense of comfort wash over him.

Jade couldn’t stop herself from apologizing, so Beck used his lips to quell her fear.
