Fandom: Digimon
Pairing: Piemon x Takaishi Takeru
Theme Set: Beta
Rating: PG-13
Notes: This was harder than I thought, and I'm not sure how well I did, but I think I like it.
#01 - Walking: Takeru is used to having another shadow along with his, with Angemon being his partner, but one day there is another shadow, and Piemon stands beside him.
#02 - Waltz: Takeru can't waltz, but Piemon doesn't care about what he can or can't do, only what he wants them to do together, be it a waltz of wonder, or a dance of death.
#03 - Wishes: A wish is wished on a dozen first stars, but Takeru can't get Piemon to vanish, no matter how much he tries, and there's only laughter in his ears as he breaths out the words again and again.
#04 - Wonder: "If you keep wondering why I'm here, I'm going to have to show you, and I really don't think you want that, just yet."
#05 - Worry: There's not a Chosen or partner who didn't worry about what's going on with Piemon's return, but until he did something more dangerous than ask Takeru out for a date, there was nothing they could do.
#06 - Whimsy: Is it whimsy that led Piemon to choosing Takeru or a desire to drive someone mad, or both, or does it even matter, or will they ever know?
#07 - Waste/Wasteland: Roaming the wastelands between life and death, Piemon swore that there would be the sweetest of revenge on Holy Angemon, and that revenge would be taking away his partner, heart, mind, body, and soul.
#08 - Whiskey and rum: After that first kiss, Takeru needed a very stiff drink, and Piemon was more than happy to oblige, since he needed one too.
#09 - War: Piemon has fought in many a war in the Digital World, but none quite so delicious as the one he now wages for Takeru's heart.
#10 - Weddings: Hearing how Piemon once completely destroyed the wedding of two Digimon was not Takeru's idea of first date conversation, but he couldn't deny that he giggled a little, here and there.
#11 - Birthday: Finding the key to a personal little palace in the Digital World is not the kind of birthday gift Takeru expected from Piemon, not that he'd expected anything at all.
#12 - Blessing: Angemon watches over Takeru with the care any Digimon shows for his partner, and perhaps a little more...and this strange desire Piemon shows will never be granted his blessing, though if any other tried for Takeru's heart, it would be given freely.
#13 - Bias: Piemon hates the other Chosen, whether he's met them or not, without any kind of bias whatsoever; they all can die to him, save for Takeru.
#14 - Burning: Takeru watches as his apartment burns, and Piemon watches from beside him, casually mentioning that he knows of a place Takeru can stay: with him.
#15 - Breathing: Each breath that Piemon steals from Takeru's lips is more delicious than the one before it, and he will keep on stealing until there is nothing left.
#16 - Breaking: Bringing the blond to the brink of breaking over and over again piques Piemon's sordid senses, and he will not stop until he's achieved his desires.
#17 - Belief: Takeru doesn't believe for a moment that Piemon loves him, nor does he believe he will ever love Piemon, but reality and belief can be very different things.
#18 - Balloon: A dozen red balloons appear over Takeru's bed one morning, each with Piemon's face on it, and it's both the most horrible sight he's ever seen, and the most comical.
#19 - Balcony: Takeru watches the sun rise from the balcony outside his new apartment, and feels those growing more familiar arms slide around him without being asked once again, and this time he says nothing at all.
#20 - Bane: The bane of Takeru's life has been his hatred of evil, now that evil has come to claim him and reverse what he's believed since he was eight years old.
#21 - Quiet: The quiet is broken by the sound of Piemon's swords being sharpened, and the tilt to his smile tells Takeru that someone else has made a comment they shouldn't about their 'relationship'.
#22 - Quirks: Everyone has quirks, Takeru tells himself, but he hates the fact Piemon's involve frequent destruction, and his involve stopping that same disaster.
#23 - Question: A single question is on Takeru's mind, one that he knows he can't get the answer to: why is all of this happening?
#24 - Quarrel: "I don't want to fight with you," Piemon says, tracing a line down Takeru's cheek, "but if you really want, I can make it the best fight you've ever had."
#25 - Quitting: Piemon could quit his self-appointed task, could just vanish into the Digital World and never be seen or threatened by the Chosen, but what would be the fun in that, when he can live each day teasing Takeru's senses and mocking Angemon and letting them wonder if he'll ever go away...
#26 - Jump: "Come on, jump, I'll catch you," Piemon urges, floating easily on the far side of the balcony, his arms reached out for Takeru, who slowly begins to inch towards him.
#27 - Jester: Piemon is the ultimate clown, the king of jesters, but it all comes to a halt when he looks into a pair of cool blue eyes that wait for his first misstep, his first hint that this is just a cruel game...and which don't realize that his very existence is just another joke.
#28 - Jousting: Of all things, Piemon arranges a joust for Takeru's pleasure, but none is had when he sees the participants are to be the other Chosen.
#29 - Jewel: Takeru's eyes glimmer as if they're watery jewels, as each tear splashes down, each more precious than diamonds to Piemon.
#30 - Just: Is it justice that Piemon seeks or is that something long gone, only to be thought of by it's absence?
#31 - Smirk: A single smirk graces Piemon's lips as the door opens and Yamato stands there, seeing for the first time what they'd only heard rumors and suspicions of: Piemon holding and kissing his precious baby brother.
#32 - Sorrow: The look on Yamato's face when he sees who holds his precious brother in his arms pleases Piemon almost as much as embracing Takeru himself does.
#33 - Stupidity: This is the stupidest move he's ever made, to dare Piemon to go for an hour without kissing him, when he begins to feel that he can't go for a minute without it himself.
#34 - Serenade: The lyrics Piemon sings are full of double meanings, innuendos, and hidden sarcasm, and Takeru wishes he had more things to throw at him than just himself, no matter how much Piemon approves of that.
#35 - Sarcasm: Takeru cannot stand the amused mockery in Piemon's eyes, nor the twist to his lips when Takeru demands to know if the Digimon thinks he can corrupt him, nor the sarcastic little voice in his mind that says Piemon already has.
#36 - Sordid: It's a sordid kind of thing, filthy and unclean, but try as he might, he can't get enough of him.
#37 - Soliloquy: Piemon proclaims, in long epic tones, how wonderful he thinks Takeru is, and how wonderful he himself is, and how delicious they will be together, and Takeru is willing to kiss him, just to get him to shut up.
#38 - Sojourn: How long will you stay, the blond whispers, and the answer is always the same: as long as you don't want me to be here.
#39 - Share: Piemon doesn't share his toys with anyone, not even when that toy wouldn't mind being shared - and especially when that toy doesn't even want to be his in the first place.
#40 - Solitary: He's forgotten what it's like to be alone, first because of his partner, and now because of the one his partner once killed.
#41 - Nowhere: He wants Piemon back between the worlds, back to the land of nowhere, anywhere but here, as long as he doesn't wake to that voice in his ear, those hands on his cheeks, those lips on his...
#42 - Neutral: The others stay back, not wanting to interfere, not sure what Piemon would do if they did, since his newfound odd neutrality baffles them all.
#43 - Nuance: Shades of meaning color Piemon's words, to the point Takeru can't be certain of what he means or doesn't mean, and that's exactly what the Virus Lord wants.
#44 - Near: Piemon is always near enough for him to touch, all he has to do is reach out, and he has begun to do so.
#45 - Natural: "It's only natural," Piemon whispers in his ear, "because the flip side of hate is love, and you claim you hate the darkness so much, you must love it."
#46 - Horizon: Piemon's arms wrap around him as Takeru watches the sun rise, and Takeru cannot help but lean back against him, into the warmth that chills his soul, and wonders if he has crossed a line of his own somehow.
#47 - Valiant: For all the courage he has shown elsewhere, Takeru cannot bring himself to say the words he feels, fearing what their results will most certainly be.
#48 - Virtuous: Takeru knows patience and hope are virtues, but is it so wrong to hope that Piemon really means what he says?
#49 - Victory: "I don't want you to go," Takeru whispered, hating hearing himself say it, knowing he couldn't not say it, knowing that Piemon had won his most complete victory.
#50 - Defeat: "Good-bye."
