Fandom: Lord of the Rings (with a healthy dose of Silmarillion) Pairing: Galadriel & Celeborn Theme set: Gamma Rating: PG/K+ Note: Themes not presented in order. Instead they're given chronologically, creating a very loose narrative.
I'm not as familiar with Galadriel and Celeborn as I'd like to be (I only saw the movies; yes, I'm one of those LOTR fans) but these were so well-written and involving that I just had to say, I really enjoyed them.
Thank you. I'm glad you could appreciate them even without having read the books. I don't know if you've researched the characters at all, but the only place where the movie differed greatly from the book is that at the end of Return of the King Celeborn doesn't sail with her. He eventually does go west after an unspecified time though.
Each one of these is so beautiful, quotable, and perceptive. Made me go through a rollercoaster of emotions. To think that Galadriel is awful at needlework/weaving really cracked me up. I especially enjoyed Eclipse, Silk... and all the ones about the Fourth Age, but all of them are really wonderful. *applauds* Thanks very much for sharing.
Which sentence(s) is(are) your favourite, by the way?
Damn, I'm not sure I have a favorite. I like candle and unknown, for the symmetry (they inspired me to change the sentence order around for chronology). I like eclipse a lot, too, along with ice and talk, for the glimpses of Celeborn's character. He's so overlooked!
And ditto. He is overlooked, but I s'pose that makes it all the more delightful to find beautiful fan fictions about him (especially ones that are Celeborn/Galadriel friendly).
