I love this prompt - and AUs! Not sure if this is even vaguely what you were after so, uh. Right.
So, um, Harry's a painter. Louis' a model. They were set up by Zayn (a rockstar? hm.) Everything's going swell. Except Harry can't stop staring at Louis

The other man is smiling and joking and flirting and Harry does not know how to cope with all of this because the last person he had a serious relationship with was a portrait of a woman and that had ended in her being sold to an art gallery in Berlin

"You're perfect," he says and Louis blushes and shakes his head and laughs a little (Harry's heart throbs).

"And you need to stop being so nice," Louis bites his lip and takes a gulp of his wine. "Alright, last question. You can ask it, if you like."

"I can?"

"Yeah, sure. Feeling particularly generous." They both laugh and Harry wants to live in the moment forever.

"Okay," He nods and shakes his hair out of his eyes, "This here's a deal breaker," (to this he's mostly kidding), "You ready?"

"Course," Louis puts on a curious little pout that looks so practiced and Harry's reminded forcefully that he's on a date with a model, how is he on a date with a model.

"Who do you cheer for in football?"

Louis' eyes flutter around the room before they lock deep into Harry's green ones, "Manchester United. And I'm not sorry."

Marry me, is the only thought Harry has then

Oh, this was lovely. I was grinning the entire time. I loved it! That twist with the proposal was done perfectly.
