Basically four out of the 5 are in a perfectly happy polyamorous relationship and the left out member (preferably either Niall or Liam, but it's up to you) having to deal with living in the same house as the four of them and being in love with one+ members of said polyamorous relationship and dwelling on why he isn't in the relationship and other angsty feels and what not. Maybe he hears them all fucking at night or they're all snuggled up on one sofa when he's all on his own on the other. Unintentional leaving out during interviews and gigs and even social stuff from the other boys... Basically just angsty feels throughout. Can have a happy ending if the author is that way inclined, but I'd prefer if maybe it was left unresolved?:)

Holy hmmmmmph. This was just. . . Oh my God. I absolutely love the way you portrayed Niall in this. Being all sweet and not wanting to get in the way no matter how awful it makes him feel, he's a people pleaser for sure. He holds this special place in my heart, regardless of how much I want to love the boys equally, so the Niall-centric storyline was really nice. I also really like how you kept him running away from the guys, it was like a game of cat and mouse and it satisfied my vindictive sense of romantic justice: having him shut them out just as they did to him (whether deliberate or not). Angst fics are always really hard for me to get into, even more so if it's a polyamorous one, I don't know why. I'm just one of those people who likes a short conflict and then for everything to be resolved and la-dee-da happy. But the OT5/angst dynamic between the boys was so well written, plus you added in the summary that it would be a happy ending so I couldn't not read it. Again, kudos to you because this was really good ( ... )
