+ I'm currently just shy of 40k!!! I'm also just shy of being about a third of the way through the fic.
+ definitely loving it so far, like an actual obscene amount??? though I am feeling a little bit behind. not too much to be worrisome, but I'm definitely feeling some pressure!!!!
+ going to attempt an actual one sentence synopsis instead of cheating with a snippet instead. so here's my attempt:
after zayn leaves the band they have to find a way to keep moving and keep working together, but everything gets more complicated when niall's unexplained ability to see small flashes of possible futures gets worse and he discovers that the other boys are developing strange and inexplicable abilities too.

he's in the beginning for a scene and his ~presence is there throughout, of course, but I'm not sure if he'll make another appearance or not. I plan on doing quite a few timestamps in the future and I'm thinking he's more likely to show up again there than within the confines of this fic. so I doubt he'll show up again, but at the same time he's always there because they're always trying to deal with the fact that he's gone.

as for pairings, it's louis/niall!! but that's almost secondary to the ot4 friendship. ot4 is the true foundation of the fic, it just also happens to be nouis as well. thank you for the interest!! <3

Currently I'm at 26k! (whoowhoop!!) I am certainly on track and at this stage I hope to be finished on time! ....unless extenuating circumstances like tenting holidays with the family away from a laptop charger come into play, which... Well, hopefully not.

Feelings wise? I'm feeling great about this fic! I absolutely adore it - even if it's been giving me some grief... Not one bit of hate in my body (except towards the Americanised auto-correct but whatevs)..

Louis dunks him again, but this time Harry’s prepared, and holds onto his waist, tugging him under as well. They dissolve into a giggling, hysterical mess of splashes and screaming, tumbling senselessly about in waist deep water until the wind picks up and it gets too cold to stay in the ocean fully clothed like a pair of ten year olds.

+a tiny tiny bit under 17k (I swear the words multiply whenever I look away. I would have said just about 15 if I hadn't checked.) I think I'm going to end up around 30k so I have a bit left, but not too much.
+I feel SUPER GREAT about this story, which is maybe a jinx to admit, but whatever. no one who's said they'd read it and report back has reported back yet which is sort of an issue, but it's not an issue I have control over so I'm just puttering away on my own, trying to make it the best I can.
+ A summary: I have drafts of this saved as 'on the beach at night alone,' 'sad ocean boys,' and 'college drop out au,' all of which are reasonable descriptions. A sentence: “It isn’t a fix, it’s a heal.” Liam says finally. “And time has healed it. You just have to come back.”
