Fic Status: almost 9k! So I'm in a pretty good place. I've still got plenty left to write; I've written scenes all throughout the chronology, so I'm filling in the plot in between now. Feeling good, though!
Emotional Status: I'm feeling great! It's my first big bang and I'm loving it!
Optional: I'm just gonna drop in a little quote:
Zayn’s light chuckle sounded musical in the midst of the oppressive hum and rumble of the Charity. “You’ve got that right,” he said. “Look, I should get some sleep. You talking was...nice. Therapeutic. It’s good to know that I’m not alone in all of this.”
“Isn’t there a word? For how you feel after all that?”
“Catharsis,” Zayn replied quietly.

status: I haven't started, per se, because I have something I want to finish first, but I have a lot of thoughts and ideas and I should be starting monday ish. I feel a little bit nervous about it because how could I not, but also mostly okay because I know once I get into it it'll go pretty fast probably hopefully. I'm still vacillating wildly between two ideas which is sort of frightening but I'm just going to write one (ghost astronaut niall) and then if after a day or two it isn't clicking into place switch back to my original plan (lilo on the run from the law).

a little sample: 'You still in S-Town?' he sends Zayn. Last he heard, Zayn was living at home and commuting the forty-five minutes to his art school in Manchester every day. He was the last of them left in Sandport, until Louis fucked everything up again, that is.

Status of the fic: just under 20k!
How I'm feeling about it: SO EXCITED! This is my first proper fic and I joined this because I wanted to challenge myself and that I wanted the commitment, you know? And so far I'm very very happy with it all. So, all good.
Tiny preview:

status: more than 5k so far
feeling: a bit stressed because an entirely different fic idea is demanding attention (idek harry with wings will be my downfall) and will be written simultaneously so it’s making writing this one a bit more difficult. but then I don’t write fics unless there’s some stress so I guess I’m in a really good place right now.
optional: harry grows wings and louis helps him deal with it.

So far I'm at 4k because I changed fics halfway through. I'm feeling pretty good about it though.
The summary is a little complicated, so I'll throw in a few teasers:
'He seemed to be a person who had a grayscale tint to him constantly, in a crowd with people who didn't require filters to look alive.'
'The way Harry speaks is magnificent. Like long awaited rain to help someone sleep, or the phone call that someone, somewhere, is waiting for. It's everything Louis has wanted to without even knowing it.'
