It's that time, everyone! We're a couple of weeks (or a month and a half, if you signed up at the very beginning) into the challenge, and it's time to make sure you're still motivated and on track!

01. I've already started writing and it's going great so far. Although it's not November yet, I'm totally using Nanowrimo techniques to write. That always works for me.

I'd also like to recommend giving the Pomodoro technique a try (Moosti is my favourite time tracker). It saves lives.

Regarding the story itself, I have a pretty clear idea of what I want to do and I've already made an outline. Trello is a total superhero when it comes to organising ideas.

02. Hmm, no, I think I'm doing fine? I've only written about 6k, so I'm sure that some problems will eventually arise. What would definitely help, though, would be getting a beta, but I know we have to wait a bit longer for that and it's ok.

So I decided to change my fic to a Liam/Louis You've Got Mail AU, and just wanted to see if anyone else is doing anything close? I didn't see any in the original post but I don't want to step on anyone's toes. I'm about 5,000 words into it so far.

1/ Not too bad. I've settled on a Pacific Rim (movie) AU, so I most definitely won't have any issues with the plot (save for some parts I will add for the sake of character development. Also not to pull romance out of nowhere). I've casted Louis as Raleigh, Harry as Mako and Niall as Newton. Main POV is Louis', but there will be a side Niall POV -this one is for all the people sad about how Niall rarely has any significant parts in fics.
I've had to do a lot of research (about PR's timeline, events, specifics of the Jaegers and Kaijus, technical terms, etc) so all I've written down so far is the backstory of my main characters.

2/ I definitely have issues with pacing myself writing-wise, so I might look into the tips theglitterbee has given above. I'll take all and any tips when it comes to that!

3/ Betas. I don't know anyone in the fandom and english isn't my first language. Will there be some life-savers affialiated with the bigbang stepping in at some point?

I'm also looking for writing buddies! I only write H/L, and I have done tons of research about mental health. I'm often on tumblr : dragoneggposts. I greatly struggle with procrastination, even with a deadline. It would help me a lot if I had someone to kick me in the butt to get me on a more regular writing schedule.
