Hi! We'll post more details closer to due dates but BASICALLY the way it works is you can post it wherever you want (as long as it's not to this actual community - and we do have a One Direction Big Bang collection on AO3 and will be making a Round 2 subcollection closer to January), and after you've done that, you'll post a masterpost to this community (with header and links to the fic and the accompanying art). The rules will change a little bit from last year, considering the addition of the tumblr account and stuff we've learned that will help streamline the process, but you can get a better general idea from this post from Round One!

Hi! Just got a quick question. I'm thinking of writing a story involving a trans* character, and I'm worried about getting abusive comments because of that. (I'm sure no one in the comunity would be abusive, but sadly links are easy to share and there are some awful people online.) So I was just wondering whether I could lock my fic so long after it's posted - say, two weeks. That way people have a chance to read it but after hat I could keep it safe from other people, who may not be so accepting.

Are we allowed to incorporate any Best Song Ever characters? As in, could there be an alternate universe in which those characters are real people alongside the boys in One Direction?

Absolutely! You could even conceivably write just about the BSE characters, as they're portrayed by 1d.
