"I only applied to one college and I got rejected!" is my least favourite movie/book/TV cliche ever. Seriously. If you're smart enough to think you have a shot at Harvard, you are smart enough to have a backup. Bruce is stupid. The end.
I never read the later SVH books, so I'm confused about what's going on with Todd and Elizabeth! She cheated on him with Devon? Doesn't she cheat on him at least once every ten books?
Liz does cheat on him all the time, but except for this time with Devon (and then with Ken), Todd never finds out. Probably because he's Todd, although you'd think he'd notice a pattern after a while. :)
Olivia (carrying a covered up painting) starts looking for Ken. She finds him out on the front porch, and asks if they can talk. He thinks that the painting she’s holding is the one of him naked, and starts yelling, but she asks him to just trust her and open it. It’s a painting of just his head and naked chest and she tells him that even though she couldn’t destroy the other one, she’s put it away and that he never has to worry about anyone seeing it. He tells her he loves the new painting and they make out. I always thought it was stupid that she had to paint a whole new portrait of silly uptight Ken. Why didn't she just paint a fig leaf over his junk, or some jeans or something?
You have no idea how much I just laughed at reading "paint a fig leaf over his junk." Like, I think I may have snorted, and I never snort. I think that is a sign that it is time for bed, but I also agree. You can always add more layers of paint; if Olivia is such an artist she could have managed that.

Nice bit of continuity on the writers there for once, as she uses Alexandra as her name at college.
Great recap! I just won this book and Earthquake! on Ebay, so can't wait to read them.

Cool recap. You should recap the last Senior Year book too, I'd love to see how that winds up.
