haaaated the Ricky Capaldo subplot. Like some family custody battle would really be splashed over the news. Plus I get tired of Ned as the only lawyer in Seattle

I always wondered if Liz ever found the letter that Jessica wrote. Years later, when she moved her furniture???

Yeah, I would have loved to see it get referenced in the bit where they were salvaging their stuff after the earthquake. Since those books were all recappy anyway, methinks the ghosties dropped the ball here.

I really think that Ned's heroic lawyering is a nod to Carson Drew, in order to equate our twin heroines to Nancy's position as center of her own Sweet Valley-esque universe.

Joe Seegar's name always amused me because here there's a fat, jolly cooking-show lady called Jo Seagar who was at the height of her fame when I read this book. I just have this mental picture of Joe being like "Track down Jess's bad-boy-wannabe boyfriend? Easy peasy!"

Thanks to Tragic Tricia Martin and Sickly Stacey McGill I spent my youth convinced that I had some horrible disease.

Lol. Me too. I was convinced I was diabetic when I was 12.
