One would suggest everybody reads the above recaps if they haven't previously, to remind ( Read more... )

By the way, I have NO idea why the formatting went as above, but I couldn't change it so......

For the formatting, it looks like you've just got a couple of unclosed bold and italic tags. Does the HTML not show when you click the edit button?

And yeah, Candy Land is an awesome game targeted to kids about two to six. However, we're all enjoying recaps of books aimed at nine year olds, so I don't think we can judge too harshly. ;-)

Hmm, no, when I edit I don't use html as such, I use the editor box options. As soon as I used a multi LJ cut instead of just one, that happened. Meh!

Lifestyles of the Guilty and the Glamorous

Bull. Shit. Jessica's favourite TV programmes at the age of twelve are Lifestyles of the French and Famous and Days of Turmoil. Wise the fuck up, ghost-writer.

And if you'll excuse me, now I'm going to go and shoot myself in the head because I can't believe I remember that.

Ah ah ah, a bit I omitted 'cos it wasn't relevant, or so I thought, was that Lifestyles of the Guilty and Glamorous is a new series, which is on directly before Days of Turmoil...however she doesn't get to see Days of Turmoil cos Mrs R rings up. I don't remember Lifestyles of the French & Famous though...

Yay zippy!! =D Fantastic recap! *Three cheers*

Liz is wearing a tent
Baha!
Those covers do suck. The worst is #100 (which ur doing now I guess), in which Eva's face behind the fold-out cover just looks seriously fucked up. And it's not even the flesh-hanging-off-the-bone face, it's just a normal face, and it looks so demented. And why is her hair fire? Agggh!

There is a monster with them that looks exactly like the girl in Jessica's dream (from the previous book).
Hmm, what? I know that later, Steve deliberately dresses up as the monster, but how did he know what she looked like at such an early date? Or was this just a coincidence?

Jessica finds Liz hunching over her bike hilarious, and tells her she looks like the Wicked Witch from the Wizard of OZ. Heh! I can't remember that film much, did she ride a bike?
Yes! Hehe. It was funny. And the music would go "da da da da da doo doo".

hat sort of parent lets their two twelve year old daughters babysit alone, especially overnight.Shit parents! You're right, it's really, really dumb. ( ... )

Yeah I completely agree that the Unicorns would suck, it's just that Jess makes such a fuss sometimes about Liz's friends and yet there she is getting on with them. In a bit I omitted at the end, Amy takes Jessica's hand when they go up on the roof, and Jess doesn't mind. Lol.

It's supposed to be a coincidence. To be fair, he should never be able to get the costume completely right anyway (in the last book), as he doesn't ever dream about her, but he does.

Jim WilkinsI'm sure his name is Jim in the SVH book where Todd leaves to go to Vermont. But I'm not sure. I was just impressed they figured Dyan wouldn't be a Sutton. Lol ( ... )

The fantastic Closet website has all the covers! That's where I always go to find the ones for my recaps. Here's what I guess would be the front of the book, and here's the inside cover. Her face isn't falling off! I feel cheated.

I'm sure Winston's grandfather is mentioned in The Wakefield Story and he's Walter Egbert too. Amanda teaches him at Sweet Valley High.

You figure someone would have written a guide for ghostwriters what gave the names and dates of various things. That would have simplified most of the crappy continuity.
