I seem to remember finding the Liz/Todd storyline incredibly funny at the time *blush* but yay Sam! And geez, Michael really is a jerk.

Hee. I have a feeling they were going for romantic comedy wanky hijinks, but it just doesn't work as well in print as it would on the screen.

Michael is such an asshole. I have no idea why April misses him. What's to miss?

I love Sam!

So who does April actually end up with? Hopefully not Michael.

I actually like Jessica in this book. She's not psychotic or manipulative or extremely shallow!

Oops, sorry I didn't make that clear. She ends up with Michael. BOO.

Jessica is pretty good in this book. I think it helps that Sam seems to make her more relaxed.

Yeah, it does sound boring (your recap was good though :] but yeah, the book sounds boring). Best part is Jess getting together with Sam <3
I read about a lot of these books from reading the secret diaries, which spanned many books. It's cool in recap (or secret diary excerpt) form, but it sounds like a whole SV book is too many words for such a snore-worthy plot...A lot of SVH books are like this, though. Pretty sure the next few ones are boring too. I'll shut up now.

Yeah, this is a bit of a lull for Sweet Valley, as far as I can tell. It seems to be a period of books about secondary characters, like April and this new Rose character and Amy etc.

There is no hint that Elizabeth has even HEARD of Sam, let alone had a secret fling with him. Not even a glimmer of recognition there.

Nope. But we're supposed to care deeply about their relationship dilemmas!
