Jessica and Lila should like Kisho, because "murasaki" is Japanese for "purple"! (The characters of his name probably actually mean village + cape, which is a common last name format, but he doesn't need to tell the future Unicorns that.)

Just you wait, Caroline; in a decade or two there'll be an epidemic of parents who really do give their kids cracked-out names.

Lila should like Dumbo because it contains an acid trip just like some of the books in this canon. And I say that with total love for the pink elephants scene.

Or perhaps they could go as the Plastics?
I just cracked up picturing Caroline going "I'm a mouse! DUH!"

I also just remembered that in SVH, Charlie Cashman is the ringleader of the racists who bully SVH's two black kids, and his dad (who according to this book must either be Italian or have married an Italian woman) is ultra-white-supremacist.

I think the holes caused by the giant Earthquake in SVH really represent the plot-holes from every book.

Also, I want your Liz-Kisho-Charlie spinoff. Even though my mind is slightly blown at Charlie being nice and having depth.

Kisho is freaking awsome. I'm guessing never see him again :( I really like the character development Charlie is given. Shame he didn't get it in the later books. It did make me sad to know that Liz was always insufferable but points for consistency, I guess? Great recap!
