Who's that other kid on the cover? Is it supposed to be Lacey or Bethel or someone else entirely?

He’s rescued by Jessica’s favorite kind of boy. A handsome one!

Hee! Great recap!

Aww, I loved this book when I was ten! This brings back so many memories.

I was flicking through the library catalogue for the whole of my area (about thirty to fourty libraries, if you include ones in high schools) and there are only about one or two Jr. High books available. What? There were stacks of them a few years ago. I want to know where all these books go to. Nearly all the SVH ones have disappeared as well. It's annoying.

Anyway - Shonen Knife, the Japanese dance group? What does that name mean, anyway? Because in German, schön means something along the lines of "nice." Nice knife? LOL.

I'm going to go and read some more reviews for these books. They're really quite cute =]

Shonen Knife translates to 'Boy Knife', I think. =)

I'm so surprised that they're actually mentioned in a Sweet Valley book. They're one of my favourite bands. WTF, O HAY BIZARRO WORLD?

Since when does Jessica listen to Japanese dance music?! Jessica spends her days creaming herself over Johnny Buckteeth, not exploring music from other countries. Especially not a country whose pop culture is creamed all over by weeaboos, thereby giving sane fans a bad name.

I am impressed that they used a real band, though.
