This book has an interesting backstory for me.  I read about 2/3 of it before ever buying it.  When I was a kid, my mom never left me home alone, so I was always tagging along behind her, bored out of my skull, usually reading a book while walking behind her in the grocery or clothing stores.  When this book came ( Read more... )

I'm not sure, but from what I remember from Biology, stimulating the adrenal gland wouldn't have an effect on hostility. Granted, adrenaline is what gives us the whole 'fight or fight', but that's more preparing us IN CASE of a fight. It doesn't actually make us more prone to fight, just makes it that we'll be better able to fight or run away when something happens.

In order to increase hostility I believe you'd have to increase testosterone, not adrenaline.

So yeah. Nifty recap by the way! ^^

Your right, adrenaline gives us the ability to cope with scary situations broken bones ect, if you have more of it would just be like gaia from fearless.

so basically Nina is the only participant not affected by all the brainwashing efforts?? Of course she would be too smart for that; she's Liz Wakefield's designated sidekick ('best friend')afterall!!! for this series anyway!! I'm sure Liz will have some new poor soul to torture with her 'friendship' in SV Confidential, Nina long gone and forgotten...oh wait, I read the sneak preview and it's actually 1bruce1 himself, hahahaha, can't wait to see that play out.

It really bothered me that there wasn't a resolution to this story...

...Just like it bothered me that Isabella got swept away to Switzerland and, like, was never heard from again.

Does anyone know wtf was up with that?

That always bugged me, too! I loved Isabella. Lila too, but Izzy also. She actually called Jess on some of her shit.

REALLY hated how Denise & Winston were dropped, as well. I hated the sophomore part of SVU.
