Sweet Valley Twins #2: Teacher's Pet

Sep 24, 2007 00:26

While digging through my box of “Sweet Valley Kids” and “Baby Sitters Club” books, I happened to find, stuck between two BSC books, “Sweet Valley Twins #2: Teacher’s Pet.” Oh joy of joys, another un-summarized Sweet Valley book!

Well, until now.

Aww, I wish that I had been born 10 years earlier so that I was a tween when these books were still being published and could snark along with you all =[ The only SVT book I read was 100+ which I found in a Nottingham charity shop five years ago. My school library still has a bunch of SVU books but they're nowhere near as fun as these sound =P

I agree with whoever said that Mrs Wakefield should have interfered with the ballet lessons and found out if Jessica was really being treated unfairly; I had a very biased teacher in primary school who hated my guts because my family was Christian, and my parents had about seventy-billion meetings with her and the head teacher to stop her being so cruel. Surely Mrs W would have gone and spoken to the teacher at the end of a lesson and voiced her concerns!

But that would mean less drama, and tweens need drama! My life was never as exciting as the twins =P Boohoo?

“Surely it can’t be,” said Madame Andre. [“Yes, it is,” Mrs. Wakefield said. “And don’t call me Shirley.”]

Aaah classic!

This is the only SVT book I had the chance to actually read through back then (I found them fascinating, but my parents disapproved of them and I got in trouble for it if I was caught looking at the books), but it always stuck with me - I couldn't resist picking it up because of my interest in ballet, iirc. Will always remember this is the book that introduced me to Coppelia!
