Seriously, this book reads like a parody of itself! Especially the end--yay for being single and okay with it. Now, on to the prom! (facepalm)

The recap was fantastic, though. I wonder if Todd's ever going to develop a fear of driving, after the motorcycle crash, the Return of the Evil Twin crash, and now this one. That kind of thing would never have happened in his magical Datsun. ;)

It's Todd on the cover. I know because that was the actor who played him in the TV series. What amuses me is his greasy hair with one piece falling into his face. He looks like he's going to invite SandyLiz to go dancing in the Shake Shack.

tells Todd he has to let his anger go
What?!? Who would he punch then? This makes no sense.

Why bother getting married if you’re not going to be faithful?" she wondered aloud.’
Liz's thoughts about this are so unbelievably hypocritical and self centered, it's almost comic. Why have BOYFRIEND if you're not going to be faithful, Liz?

I guess the message here is, it's good to be single for a day or two. But once the prom rolls around, you better get yourself a boyfriend or you'll be a complete loser.

I was gonna say that too, re: the Jeep. Like, Liz killing Jess's boyfriend in one wouldn't be enough to make the twins think, "Hey, let's get a VW bug next time..."?

I know the writers will only undo all their good work in the next book, so I almost wish they wouldn't bother.

I know, there aren't words for how depressed I felt when, after spending a good chunk of time recapping this trilogy, I scanned the recaps for #141-#143 and realised the Todd/Devon/Liz triangle continues for three more books... *headdesk*

Good catch on the red squirrel. I'd never have noticed as I live in the UK, and actually thought there might be more red squirrels in the US than here! I feel somewhat stupid, but at least *coughghostwritercough* I did not make this mistake in a published book.

There is an "American red squirrel." I definitely remember seeing these as a kid. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamiasciurus_hudsonicus.

However, the ghostwriter may still fail zoology, since according to Wikipedia, they don't live on the Pacific Coast.

Squee, you're back! With #140! Your timing is brilliant. I was pleasantly surprised by how this book advocates something so un-Sweet Valleyish as being single. Poor dumb hypocritical Liz. (I wish this had more Jessica!)

"He finds out about Project Adventure from Enid and reacts badly as well: ‘a fragile girl like Liz out in the woods on her own?’ He then declares ‘my life is under some black cloud’ and looks up ‘to see Enid staring at him like he had two heads.’"

See, now, this is why I like Enid.
