Seriously, why DID we get Conner right on the heels of Devon? Why not just go whole hog and introduce Dylan McKay as Tom's long lost cousin so he can moon around St. Liz, too?

I don't know what it is with Liz and these mopey emo guys. I have no patience for guys like that, so Conner and Devon quickly get on my nerves.

This whole book would have been absolute shite without Lila and Jess. They are so much fun when they're getting along!

Yes!!! I was thinking the same thing. And I didn't read much of the BSC books, but I liked Laine because she was the anti-BSC!

As someone who actually planned her high school prom, I just have to say, the SVH Prom Committee is MADE OF FAIL. You DO NOT choose your theme/menu/location mere weeks before the prom itself. You can't even make all those decisions in one meeting. *sigh* Fail, Sweet Valley. Fail.

I choked on my sandwich reading this. Hilarious. Also, I hate Devon. I just wanted to smack him around this entire recap. And if Conner is the same way, then I know why I received a ([n] electric) shock last week when I picked up a SVSY book at the used bookstore.

Conner's the exact same as Devon, except possibly more emo. And he's an alcoholic. He's like Dylan McCay minus the millions and the occasional goofiness Dylan would have.

Speaking of pool pushes, I am shocked that neither Lila nor Jessica were pushed in a pool by the boys at some point. No ToddPunch, no pool push, no dance...for a book about prom and guys fighting over a chick, this book was light on the violence and dancing, huh?

Reading this, I kind of feel that when the boys shunned them, Jess and Lila should've SHUNNED THEM RIGHT BACK and gone to prom with each other.
